Health Net announced its decision to exit the California small and large group market. Coverage is expected to end February 28th, 2027.

This includes the closure of all California group plans, including:
• California Small Business and Large Group Medical Plans

Health Net has made the decision to exit the traditional commercial group business in California in order to focus on its core business of government-sponsored healthcare. This change does not impact the Medi-Cal, Marketplace/Covered California or Medicare lines of business.

A formal notice has been sent to employer groups via USPS, and they should receive it in the coming days. In many cases, policies will last through the existing policy period. Employers will receive notice of their specific coverage end date in their formal notice.
